November 22nd: PROJECT PORCHLIGHT

A VOLUNTEER EVENT YOU DON’T WANT TO MISS!

On November 22nd, 2009 M.E.V.O. volunteers interested may volunteer with M.E.V.O. in participating in Project Porchlight.  This is one of the most important volunteer events of M.E.V.O.’s new volunteer season.  The exact time and meeting place of the event located in Mahwah, will be released closer to November 22nd.   M.E.V.O. will be working with the non-profit organization www.onechange.org in pursuing there mission to replace one normal light bulb in every home in the United States with an Eco-friendly compact fluorescent light bulb (CFL).

Did you know…
If every household in the United States replaced one incandescent bulb (traditional lightbulb) with a compact fluorescent light bulb (CFL), the reduction in pollution from energy production would be the equivalent of taking 800,000 cars off the road?

Well M.E.V.O. volunteers, this is your chance to help!  Come lend a hand in volunteering to pursue www.onechange.org‘s mission and M.E.V.O.’s founding goals to clean-up, preserve, and protect the environment.  During the event, M.E.V.O. volunteers will go in pairs, door to door giving each house a free Eco-friendly light bulb. We needs all the volunteers we can get, because M.E.V.O. and www.onechange.org will be giving an eco-friendly bulb to every house in Mahwah. Please come and lend a helping hand to clean-up, preserve, and protect the environment!  Hope to see you there!
