Apr. 15: Spring Kickoff Event 2012

Hello MEVO volunteers and happy spring!

As the warm weather rolls in, we have a really fantastic event to kick off the 2012 volunteer season! This event will consist of two projects. First, we will be performing our classic trash clean-up along the Ramapo River! But our second project will mark the beginning of a season-long initiative that will include using native species of trees, shrubs and flowers to rehabilitate old hiking trails. In simpler terms, we will be returning unused hiking trails back to the earth!

This event will be held from 10 AM – 4 PM! We will be meeting in the parking lot of the Ramapo Reservation in Mahwah, NJ off of Route 202. If you arrive late, please call Emma at 201-566-6916 and she will direct you to where to go!

Remember to wear clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty, some food to give you energy and water (preferably a reusable bottle).

Please email emmaspett@mevoearth.org or call 201-566-6916 with any questions.

We hope to see you all there, getting down and dirty, enjoying the beauty of nature!
