September 23: Invasive Species Removal

Although we are still doing an Invasive Species Removal, both the location and the date has been changed. The event will now take place at Abram Hewitt State Forest in Hewitt, NJ. We will be collaborating with the NY/NJ Trail Conference to clear out Wisteria, Multiflora Rose and Wineberry and possibly some Barberry and Burning Bush. Since we will be carpooling to the work site, it would be much appreciated if anyone is able to help us drive people to Abram Hewitt State Forest. Volunteers will meet at the Ramapo Valley County Reservation at 9 AM and we should be completed with the work between 2 PM and 3 PM. Make sure you bring clothes you don’t mind getting a little dirty as well as lots of water. We hope to see you all there! For questions, you can email Alex at azhang@mevoearth.org or call 917-456-2826. To RSVP for this event simply send an email to mevovolunteers@mevoearth.org with your name, age, phone number and the subject line “Invasive Species Removal.” You can also RSVP on Facebook.
